WARRANTY
Maine Loon Float — 30-Day Limited Warranty Policy
At Maine Loon Float, we want you to spend your time relaxing on the water, not worrying about your gear. Every Maine Loon Float is backed by a 30-Day Limited Warranty covering manufacturing defects from the date of delivery.
1. What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended recreational use for 30 calendar days from the date your order is delivered, including:
- Seam Separation: Factory-welded seams splitting or failing under recommended inflation pressure.
- Valve Defects: Faulty, leaking, or malformed inflation/deflation valves out of the box.
- Material Flaws: Punctures, tears, or structural blemishes present upon arrival prior to initial use.
2. What Is Not Covered
This warranty applies only to original manufacturing defects and does not cover damage resulting from:
- Over-Inflation & Heat Exposure: Burst seams or warping caused by over-inflating, using high-pressure air compressors, or leaving the float fully inflated in direct sunlight on hot surfaces (docks, beaches, or boat decks), as heat expands trapped air.
- Normal Wear & Tear: Cosmetic fading, minor scuffs, or discoloration from sun, saltwater, chlorine, or sunscreen.
- Accidental Damage or Misuse: Punctures, tears, or abrasions caused by sharp objects, rocks, docks, boat propellers, fishing hooks, or pet claws.
- Improper Towing or Storage: Damage caused by towing the float behind a motorized watercraft, dragging it across rough surfaces, or storing it damp or in freezing temperatures.
- Commercial Use: Floats used for rentals or commercial operations.
3. Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a warranty claim:
- You must be the original purchaser and provide a valid order number or proof of purchase from our store.
- The claim must be submitted within 30 days of the carrier's confirmed delivery date.
- We recommend inflating and inspecting your float within 48 hours of delivery so any out-of-the-box issues can be resolved before you head to the lake.
4. How to Submit a Warranty Claim
To start a claim, email us at info@maineloonfloat.com with the subject line "Warranty Claim – Order #[Insert Order Number]" and include:
- Your Order Number and the full name on the order.
- A Brief Description of the issue and when you noticed it.
- Clear Photos or Video showing:
- The specific defect (for slow air leaks, apply soapy water to the valve or seam and take a short video of the bubbles forming).
- The entire float fully or partially inflated.
5. Resolution & Shipping
Once our team reviews your claim (typically within 2 to 3 business days), if the defect is covered under this warranty, we will, at our discretion:
- Send a heavy-duty repair patch kit or replacement valve part if the issue is minor and easily serviceable, OR
- Ship a brand-new replacement Maine Loon Float at no cost to you (including free replacement shipping within the contiguous United States), OR
- Issue a full refund or store credit if the item is out of stock for the season.
Note: In most cases, you will not need to ship the defective float back to us, though we may ask for a photo confirming the defective unit has been decommissioned (such as cutting out the valve) before dispatching your replacement.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this 30-Day Limited Warranty is your sole and exclusive remedy. Maine Loon Float is not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products. Always follow water safety guidelines—inflatable floats are recreational novelty items and are not lifesaving flotation devices.
